Marathon Health in Dubbo have been running a weekly school holiday program on Thursday’s and Friday’s to help them prepare.
The ‘Jungle Journey’ program is a wildlife-inspired motor skills program focusing on the basics children need to start developing prior to school.
“Some of the main skills we teach the kids are practice cutting, pencil control and balance co-ordination,” Allied Health Assistant and Group Leader of Jungle Journey, Tionee Yager said.
“It’s for those young ones heading into school this year or next year. It’s all about school readiness.”
Most schools around Dubbo will resume next week.
