The brew-tastic cafe makes the most brew-tiful coffee, according to members of the Dubbo community.
Russo’s came out on top with 20.99 per cent or 114 votes in the poll. A total of 543 people voted. Dubbo residents were asked to nominate the best place for coffee on the Daily Liberal Facebook page. They were then asked to vote for nominees on the Daily Liberal website.
Owners Adam and Lara Russo were delighted on Monday after their cafe won.
They said they would like to thank their customers – both new and regular.
“It’s a good feeling to be recognised for our efforts, so thank you to our wonderful customers.” Adam said.
The couple have a passion and love for coffee.
They use 100 per cent Arabica ‘mix’ beans with a combination of Brazilian, Ethiopian and Rwanda beans in the brews they serve to coffee fans.
Lara said the most popular coffee in the cafe is the cold-brew type. Normal hot espresso is the most sold.
The cafe now also has a cold-brew coffee infused with nitrogen.
“It has a creamy and stout like effect like Guinness. It’s heavy and thick.” Lara said.
With two outlets in the city – one at Whylandra Street and the other at Blue Ridge business park – the Russos are constantly busy.
Lara said regulars keep returning because of their friendly staff, customer service and consistency.
“We love our customers, we have a good rapport, especially with the ones we haven’t seen for so long. It’s always nice when they come back in,” she said.
The cafe is busiest between 7am and 11am for people’s routine morning coffee runs.
The Russos have been in business for four years now and say they have made great achievements.
“We got into business because Adam has always roasted and we love the industry of coffee,” Lara said.
In 2017, The pair won a bronze medal for the Golden Bean at the Coffee Roasters Competition and Conference in Port Macquarie.
