The city’s Australia Day celebrations were the highlight of the month, with the pages of the Daily Liberal being filled with pictures of Dubbo residents young and old enjoying the event at Victoria Park.
The celebrations continued with the 21st birthday parties of Dubbo locals Kate Dunn and Rachael Grabianski, whose birthday celebrations were made the centre of attention on the Daily Liberal’s social pages.
Also gaining coverage in the Daily Liberal was the controversy created in the community by plans to open a drive-in bottle shop around the corner from the Apollo Estate; the start of new hip-hop classes at the Dubbo City Performing Arts Studio; and the continued fundraising efforts to assist tsunami victims affected by the Boxing Day Tsunami.
