Around 50 people took part in the first Bathurst Undie Run this year, raising several thousand dollars for the Children’s Tumour Foundation, the key organisation in Australia raising funds for neurofibromatosis research and support for people affected by NF.
Funds raised from Cupid’s Undie Run will go towards sustaining vital support services for people living with NF, and to promote world-class research as we work towards developments in treatment and finding a cure for the debilitating condition.
Originating in the US, the Undie Run arrived in Australia in 2015 when Sydney hosted the event for the first time.
In 2018, 16 Australian towns and cities will host runs with Kiama, Geelong, Byron Bay and Hobart coming on board for the first time.
The Bathurst run is scheduled for Sunday, February 18.
