According to www.weatherzone.com.au there was just 3mm of rain recorded in Dubbo on Saturday, but that followed 11mm on Friday and other little drizzles in the days prior.

It was enough to force organisers to move the twice-monthly Dubbo Farmers Markets to the carpark of the Dubbo RSL, while most of the city’s cricket matches were called off.

Two teams of keen RSL-Kelly Cup combatants got through their match, however no other matches were able to go the distance, with the closest being the Whitney Cup clash between Macquarie and CYMS which was called off when conditions became too slippery at No.1 Oval.

The rain did little to dampen the spirits of those involved in the third annual Pride March along the streets of Dubbo on Saturday morning.

The outlook for rain over the summer months is a bit hit-and-miss, with graphs from the Bureau of Meteorology having Dubbo on the borderline of getting between 50-100mm, or perhaps 100-200mm during the warmer months.

The news isn’t quite as good for outlying areas of the state, with Cobar predicted to be in either the 25-50mm or 50-100mm categories.

And we can get ready for some heat, with temperatures likely to be warmer than average from December to February.
