The fifth annual celebration of short films made in Dubbo and the Orana region was presented by Dubbo Filmmakers.
The program included 26 films of a variety of genres, shown shown on Friday night and repeated at a Saturday night session.
One of the highlights of the 2017 festival was the first year of the group’s Joey Films - films created by school children.
Seven Joey Films screened and organisers said it was “terrific” to see the young people contributing their work.
On social media Dubbo Filmmakers offered thanks to all those involved and reminded filmmakers it was “never too early to think about your projects for the 2018 One Eye Film Festival”.
Entry in the festival is free and it is not a competition.
Dubbo Filmmakers meets on the last Tuesday of the month at the Western Plains Cultural Centre community rooms.
For a limited time only, the 2017 One Eye Film Festival is on YouTube, for people who could not get to the screenings at the weekend or would like to re-watch their favourites.
