The regional ballet tour is special for the dancers, particularly Ella Havelka, who grew up in Dubbo and left at the age of 15 to pursue her dancing career.
Ms Havelka was eager to be part of Giselle when she found out she would have the opportunity to visit and perform in her hometown.
“Ever since I left Dubbo at a young age, I always wanted to go back one day and inspire the kids of Dubbo,” she said.
Ms Havelka said it was particularly special to be able to present a full-length ballet to regional audiences, which rarely have that opportunity.
“Ballet is such a privelleged world and being able to bring that into an area that might not necessarily have that opportunity to go and see a ballet, it means a lot to me,” she said.
