In NSW there will be more than 650 sites selling daffodils and merchandise, manned by more than 4500 volunteers.
In Dubbo there will be stalls at six known locations: Bunnings Dubbo, Delroy Park Shopping Centre, Dubbo Square, Newspower on Macquarie Street, Orana Mall and the Talbragar Street Post Office.
This year Cancer Council hopes to raise $2.1 million across NSW.
“By supporting Daffodil Day today, locals contribute to life-saving cancer research, prevention programs, support services and advocacy programs,” Cancer Council NSW Western Region’s Brianna Carracher said.
“Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer, with 1 in 2 Australians predicted to be diagnosed by age 85. We encourage everyone to make a difference by supporting Cancer Council today. Get out there, wear a pin, and give some fresh daffodils to someone you know.”
