Chamber president Matt Wright wouldn’t be drawn on exactly who would have the hosting duties.
“We have an MC locked in that we are very excited about. We always like to keep it a secret but they’re a well-known Australian entertainer,” Mr Wright said.
Asked for any more of a hint, he said the emphasis was on humour.
“They’re very funny and we think everyone will really enjoy their hosting,” he teased.
The Rhino Awards will be held on Friday, October 13 at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre and Mr Wright said preparations were well underway.
“The decorations and entertainment are being finalised now and it’s looking like being a great night,” he said.
Time is running out to enter the Rhino Awards, with entries due to close on August 1 but it’s not too late.
Businesses have just a few more days to complete their entry to ensure they in the running and Mr Wright said they wanted the strongest field possible.
“That’s certainly the most important thing for us. We want to see all of the great businesses around town getting involved and making it a really tough decision for the judges,” he said.
“The message would be don’t leave it until the very last minute because it does take a bit of work to complete it.”
Voting will also go live for the people’s choice categories later this week, with voting to take place on the chamber website.
“Once voting goes live, the message will get out via social media, both from the chamber but also some of the businesses will start their campaigns for voting,” Mr Wright said.
