The 28-year-old’s plight gained further national attention on Thursday morning courtesy of the Today show’s appearance in Dubbo, but a bidding war is expected to erupt in the evening prior to the 10pm conclusion of the auction.
The current top lot is two VIP tickets to Sunday night’s finale of popular television program The Voice, with the top bid currently $5000.
The tickets include access to the show’s judges, including Boy George and Delta Goodrem, as well as a chance to see the likes of Katy Perry and Niall Horan performing. The package also includes accommodation.
A behind-the-scenes tour of a Sydney race meeting has also drawn some big bids, and is currently sitting at $2500.
The tour includes four tickets, four meals, and the chance to watch jockeys weigh out for a race, mix in the mounting yard with owners, trainers and media, visit the stewards room, meet the race caller, see how the photo finish is developed in the judges bo, and go behind the starting stalls and watching the start of a race.
A $1000 Tabcorp betting voucher is also included.
Aside from the big-ticket items, there are also pieces of memorabilia, holiday accommodation and various other items sure to attract some interest.

Meanwhile, a post was put on social media on Wednesday night on behalf of Ryan’s parents Brian and Janelle Medley updating his condition.
"We are now into week four and in hospital routine. Ryan is now able to talk for short periods, he is able to eat soft foods and drink,” the post said.
“His first request for food was a mixed grill, we were allowed to supply potato and gravy which went down well.
“He is still in ICU however we are hopeful he will move to rehab in the next two weeks.
“That will depend on his breathing and clear lungs, his arm movement is improving, he has feeling in most parts of his arm but in varying degrees.
“The facilities here in ICU and spinal unit are brilliant, we truly do live in the best country.
“The doctors are good but do not give much in respect to outcomes which is understandable. Ryan is eager to start rehab ASAP he remains positive and still gives us a smile which is good.
“Once again thanks to everyone for all support makes us proud to say we come from Dubbo."
