It’s been discovered he was one of only two division two Oz Lotto winners across Australia in last night’s draw.
A NSW Lotteries official called the local resident first thing this morning to notify him that he had won $43,114.60 in Oz Lotto draw 1216 on Tuesday, June 6 from his 18-game marked entry purchased from the Parkes Newsagency in Clarinda Street.
As there were no division one winners in last night’s Oz Lotto draw, the two division two winners – both from NSW – were the highest prize winners from the draw.
Oz Lotto jackpots to a huge $5 million for next Tuesday’s draw.
The winner – who wishes to remain anonymous – said he had just taken the winning ticket out of his trouser pocket and put it in his wallet for safekeeping when he received the winning call.
“You’ve made my day! Thank you very much!” He said.
“It’s come at a good time for me. It’s a nice chunk of money.
“There will be a holiday in there for sure – probably somewhere hot. It’s too bloody cold here at the moment.
“And possibly an update to the car too!”
Parkes Newsagency owner Greg Nash said the outlet was celebrating selling another winning entry.
“Parkes has sold another winning lotto ticket,” he said.
“We’re really starting to make a habit of it.
“We sold a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot winning entry worth $200,000 in January this year and the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot winning entry worth $8.8 million in July last year.
“Here at Parkes Newsagency, we’re all about making dreams come true. Congratulations to the winner, we hope they enjoy their prize.”
The six winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1216 on Tuesday, June 6 were 10, 23, 11, 30, 19, 34 and 15. The supplementary numbers were 2 and 26.
