The Jets didn’t get the points on the field on Sunday, losing to the Wellington Cowboys 34-28 but revealed they had donated $471 to the Mark Hughes Foundation.
The Cowboys were just able to open up a small lead when it counted, after the teams had traded tries during the match. Duane Gordon scored a double for the home team.
The Nyngan Tigers handed Forbes their first loss of the season, emerging 28-16 winners in a thrilling contest at Larkin Oval.
Forbes scored the first try before Nyngan hit back with three of their own to lead 16-4.
The Magpies scored just before half-time to stay in the contest and after the resumption they were able to level the scores.
However the home side had more in reserve and tries to Troy Evans and Robert Gudgeon pushed them clear.
Forbes dropped from a share of the lead to a share of second on the Group 11 ladder with Nyngan and Parkes.
The Spacemen were the other beneficiaries of the Magpies loss.
They annihilated Westside 80-16 at Pioneer Oval for their third win of the season.
Westside’s tough season only got worse as they remain the only winless team but they have also conceded 282 points in four games, an average of 70 points per match.
Attack has also proved a problem for the Rabbitohs with just 42 points scored.
