Natasha Comber will be the director of Economic and Business, Craig Giffin will be the director of corporate services, Melissa Watkins will remain as the head of what is now known as Planning and Environment, and Murray Wood will be the Community and Recreation director.
The position of director Infrastracture and Operations will be re-advertised. Ian Bailey will continue in the role in the interim.
As well as the number of departments reducing from six to five, the structural changes will also see the creation of an Office of the General Manager.
Dubbo Regional Council administrator Michael Kneipp said the directors were selected for their capabilities in managing people, achieving results, building collaborative relationships and enabling business.
“The directors will be responsible for motivating performances across all levels of the organisation,” Mr Kneipp said.
“They each bring a wealth of experience in their specialised service areas and will play a crucial role in continuing to develop the new organisation with a focus on great service to the community.”
The new appointments was part of a broader plan to have a new organisational structure developed and in place by June 30, interim general manager Mark Riley said.
While each director had previous experience will Dubbo City Council and Dubbo Regional Council, the positions moving forward were quite different to the past, he said.
The successful directors will start their new roles July 3, to allow for consultation with staff on the new organisational structure.
