Brogan Black was vital for the Cowboys in the run to the premiership and on Sunday he will start at hooker in first grade for the first time in Sunday’s match.
Black, who missed a large chunk of the Cowboys’ pre-season training, will start in the number nine at Kennard Park after coming off the bench is the 60-20 loss to Forbes.
Black is one of three changes in the starting lineup with the versatile Lewis Stanley and Nathan Smith coming into the second row.
In more positive news and further proof the club is in better shape this season, captain-coach Aidan Ryan was able to name a 20-man first grade side this week.
