An unexpected shower on Saturday afternoon was the only blot on a great two days of black powder mastery.
While exact scores were unavailable, there was plenty of shooting of the highest levels during both days.
The event was well supported by the black powder fraternity and shooting community and even four-time Olympian Dave Coleman was on hand.
The club was keen to thank all those who helped on the day. The catering from Greer, Stevens and Lord did a fantastic job keeping the competitors fed and watered.
There was a good number of volunteers on Saturday and despite there being less on Sunday the event still ran smoothly.
The event was hailed as a success and was a good warm-up for the ISSF championships in September. More volunteers will be needed then and the club is discussing options
More volunteers will be needed then to help out then. The club board is currently discussing ways to ensure that happens with one option being a roster for the weekend to ensure there are plenty of hands on deck on both days.

The in-form Mal Bootle took first with 574 (445, 129). Ned Williams was second with 567 (403, 164) and Helen Lord third 557 (482 - best off pistol, 75). Others were Peter Lord, 537 (393, 144), and Bruce Dowling, 487 (394, 93).
