After years of battling at the wrong end of the ladder the Rams have shown plenty of promise this season despite having won just two of the opening six rounds.
With some new faces, most notably America import Conrad Etchi, now settled in the side, player-coach Damien Reid feels wins over the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Spiders and Hills Hornets will put the Rams right in the mix.
“We’re just starting to come together,” Reid said.
I think if we can come away with two wins it will put us right back on track.

“We’ve been on a few long road trips and getting to know each other and spending a lot of time together and when you get that it leads to chemistry on the court.
“I think if we can come away with two wins it will put us right back on track.”
The Rams meet the Spiders first in a match Reid is confident of winning.
The Hornsby side is yet to record a victory this season and has scored almost 100 less points than the Dubbo side.
Sunday shapes as the test against a team which appears evenly matched on paper, having won one more match than Dubbo at this point.
“It’s definitely possible to win both looking at results and the ladder,” Reid said.
“I’d say we’re looking good for 50% but we’re definitely in for a good game on Sunday, that’s the one we need.
“The ones they (Hills) have won have been similar margins to us.”
Dan Medway and Mark Willis look set to miss the weekend’s trip but the rest of the squad should be available, according to Reid.
Etchi will again be vital but young gun Shayne Brown is becoming an equally important member of the side last week.
Brown starred in the last week’s hard-fought loss to Newcastle, dropping six three-pointers in the match, and Reid has been delighted to see him perform so well.
“Shayne is my partner’s son so I see him all the time and I demand more from him than I do anyone,” he said. “I always had a feeling it would start to pay off and he’s definitely exciting this year. He stepped up late last year and has then carried it over and it’s been unreal.”
The Rams meet the Spiders at 1pm on Saturday before taking on the Hills Hornets at 12.30pm Sunday.
With the side leaving at roughly 6am on Saturday Reid said how his side deals with the travel will be vital.
