The two teams did battle in round one prior to the Easter break, with Dubbo piling on the goals in a 90-point victory over the Blues.
Trudy Sloane bagged five goals and Lauren Hazell four in that match, but the impressive part was the defence which allowed Cowra to kick just two goals, with the Blues unable to score a point at all in the entire second half of the contest.
While the Demon girls will be out to continue their impressive start to the 2017 season, their male clubmates will be eagerly awaiting the commencement of their competition.
The withdrawal of Parkes from the competition, and subsequent tinkering to the season draw, means they won’t start their campaign until next Saturday, when they host Cowra at South Dubbo Oval.
