To get the most from your night and to make it enjoyable for others too, read these tips for making your night a memorable one.
Dress in comfy clothes or pyjamas
The weather has started to get a little chilly. Enjoy the privacy of your own car and rug up and make yourself comfy for the long time you’ll be sitting.
Consider insect repellent
Despite the weather being cool lately, it doesn’t mean the mozzies won’t be out in full force. Avoid any unpleasantness and consider arming yourself before you go out.
Bring a portable radio or speaker with fresh batteries
The film’s audio will be transmitted over a special FM station, sure you could listen on your car’s stereo but you run the risk of draining your battery and getting stuck. Avoid the headache and bring something to tune into the station on and save your car’s battery.
Arrive early
This is seems like a no-brainer, but you’d be surprised how many people leave it too late to get to an event. You don’t want to be the car that arrives late and ruins the movie with your headlights. In addition, car spots will be allocated upon arrival. So, first in best dressed.
Don’t be a dingus
Hey man, we get that you like to let everyone know you have a loud car. Whatever makes you feel good. But we’re all here to watch a movie, so let’s keep that under wraps for now, yeah? Same goes for bright lights and horns, just don’t.
You CANNOT reverse your ute in and sit in the back
So, we have been inundated with the question "can we reverse our ute in and sit in the back to watch the movie?" As with many drive-ins these days the answer to this question is NO, unfortunately our management and traffic plans only allow forward movements of vehicles. We thank you for your understanding of the safety reasons behind this decision.
The WestView Drive In Re-Opening Facebook page has also posted the following Q&A for those heading out on the weekend. Check this page out for even more handy tips and rules.
