This forum is all about bringing together the development industry and council to look at any ideas or concerns that developers have or answer any questions they might have about what council can do for them.
We will discuss council’s planning and development functions, legislation and any future development in Dubbo.
This is an open forum and will be a relaxed and informal atmosphere which I hope will encourage many people to seek out the information they need.
The forum is being held in the Function Room at the Westside Hotel from 5.30pm and I hope to see many people there.
Child car seat safety
Ensuring your child is safe is a priority for all parents and we are here to offer help when it comes to the tricky business of fitting and installing car seats.
All children must be safely fastened in the correct child car seat for their age and size.
A child who is properly secured in an approved child car seat is less likely to be injured or killed in a car crash than one who is not.
A series of child restraint checking days are held in Dubbo and Wellington every year.
These free checking days are a great opportunity for parents, carers and key childcare stakeholders who wish to ensure their child car seats are fitted safely and correctly. The free checking day is also a great place to learn about the latest child restraint regulations.
The next free child car seat checking day is being held in conjunction with Wellington's Easter Family Fun Day on Thursday 6 April 2017 from 11.00am to 1.00pm in Cameron Park.
A Roads and Maritime Services Authorised Fitter will be standing by to check and/or install your child restraint.
Just collect your free checking (or fitting) voucher at the Fun Day and take it to One Stop Automotive on the same day for your free service.

Last chance to make a splash
Don’t forget that this weekend will be your last chance to have a swim at Wellington Pool and the Dubbo Aquatic Leisure Centre.
Both pools will close for the season on 2 April but if you need to escape the last blast of summer that we often get in March and April, Elston Park Water Park will be open until May 1.
Geurie Pool has already closed for the season and there will be plenty of work happening there and at Wellington during the closure as Council repairs and refreshes the facilities.
