Max Rabbett was presented the 2017 Tom Harvey Award for Citizenship at the Parliament House ceremony in front of proud family members.
The 25-year-old accepted the award which was set up by the late Tom Harvey who was the inaugural president of The Australian Youth Trust – the charitable arm of the Commonwealth Day Council.
The Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) graduate trains and mentors indigenous youth to prepare them for job opportunities in the food and beverage industry. This includes guidance in grooming, and food and safety skills.
