The World’s Greatest Shave is the Leukaemia Foundation’s annual event that sees participants either shaving or colouring their hair.
More than 60,000 Australians are living with blood cancer or related disorders, and every day another 35 people will be diagnosed.
On Saturday, March 18, approximately 30 children either shaved or coloured their hair at the Kumiai-Ryu.
Shidoin Daniel Anderson said it was a great day.
In early March Dubbo Kumiai-Ryu Martial Arts also held a dress-up day, where the mini ninjas came in their favourite outfits.
A dollar coin was donated which went towards their World’s Greatest Shave fundraising efforts.
When the Mailbox Shopper checked the World’s Greatest Shave website last Thursday, so far $11,532,200 had been raised nationally.
New South Wales had raised the most with $3,786,990.
Queensland had raised $2,714,54 and Victoria coming in a close with $2,496,420.
