Wheeler was the resounding winner of both the MMAS9 500m time trial and 2000m individual pursuit.
Farr scorched the track to win the MMAS3 750m time trial and won the sprint event in three tight matches against Queenslander Patrick Weinrauch.
Farr was also named the Champion of Champions in the MMAS3 division as the most successful rider, while Wheeler’s two victories now take him to a total of 16 national titles.
Heather Ticehurst finished third in the WMAS2 2000m individual pursuit behind Gold Coast rider Lauralee Moss, whom rode an exceptional pursuit qualifier with a time of 2 minutes 27.22 seconds to break the world record for the WMAS2 division.
Ticehurst combined with Simone Grounds and Catherine Fuller to contest the 2000m team pursuit, which the Dubbo trio finished in third at the NSW State Masters Track Championships earlier this year.
The Dubbo squad qualified fourth fastest in a time of 2 minutes 42.786 seconds and took almost six seconds off that time in the bronze medal final to unfortunately finish fourth and narrowly miss the podium.
Sydney-based Dubbo Cycle Club member Tim Dawson also enjoyed success at the championships, finishing with bronze in the MMAS1 points race.
Dubbo Cycle Club held is final track night of the season last Tuesday evening, which also saw the club’s new Madison champions crowned after two very exciting races.
The women’s Madison was taken out by the team of Catherine Fuller and Sarah Gordon.
The team of Dylan Eather and Sam Fitzgerald were the winners of the men’s race ahead of the team of Dave Gerrish and Mike Ticehurst and the team of Danny Barber and Tim Hines in third.
The final wheelraces of the season were also contested, with Kurt Eather taking out the men’s wheelrace ahead of Sam Fitzgerald, Danny Barber, Mitch Hines and Alex Russell.
Sarah Gordon took out the women’s wheelrace ahead of Simone Grounds, Haylee Fuller, Sarah Granger and Catherine Fuller.
The 2017 Dubbo City Toyota Road Racing season is all set to begin on Saturday March 25, with a 50km Strade Bianche style race to be run on a course between Geurie and Arthurville.
The 50km race will be conducted on both bitumen and dirt roads which is similar to the famous Italian one-day race which is run on the iconic white dirt roads around Siena in central Italy.
This year’s rain-soaked event in Italy was taken out by Team Sky’s Michal Kwiatkowski.
