Dubbo and District Preschool students will have fresh eggs for cooking because of a 2016 Charles Sturt University (CSU) Community-University Partnership (CUP) grant of $500 covering the cost of a coop and chickens.

Dubbo’s headspace has bought a computer with a keyboard for use by vision-impaired youth after getting a $1000 CUP grant. Representatives of the preschool and headspace, Jemima Quilty and Nic Steepe, visited CSU in Dubbo on Friday for a morning tea and chance for grant recipients to talk about their projects.
Eight recipients, including PCYC Dubbo and Dubbo Koori Interagency Network, shared a total of $8000 in 2016.
At Friday’s event Head of Campus Cathy Maginnis announced that applications for CUP grants in the small grants and arts and culture categories would open Monday.
