In the second round of the 2017 match play competition, No.1 Mark Hale led the premiers’ charge with a 3 and 2 triumph over Dubbo’s best, Ross Horrocks.
While Duntryleague and Wentworth both enjoyed the bye in pool A, the groups other heavyweights duked it out, with Matts Stanley and Consadine also recording key wins in the one game victory.
Nic Coggan and Lachie Jones were the other Dubbo players to be beaten while Chris Schubert scored a 3 and 2 win over Andrew Best to ensure it wasn’t all about Mudgee.
It was better news for Dubbo in Divisions 3 and 4, while the 2 side had the bye.
Both the lower division sides defeated Wentworth, with the Division 3 side scoring an emphatic win to further cement its status as title favourite.
