At the midway point in the season, the 15-year-old also sits well clear at the top of the Barry Hildebrandt Medal, the Daily Liberal’s Cricketer of the Year prize awarded on a 3,2,1 basis after every match.
Larance, who has picked up the maximum three points on three occasions so far this season, sits on 12 points after eight rounds.
As well as scoring runs, the youngster’s point scoring opportunities have been boosted by the fact he also regularly chips in with wickets courtesy of his handy off-spin.
RSL-Colts’ Wes Giddings is second, back on eight points, while four players sit on six points.
Voting now goes behind closed doors for the second half of the season, with the Medal to be awarded at the Dubbo District Cricket Association awards night.
