Wilma has been with the DNC for 25 years and in that time has seen many location, name and staff changes.
“It doesn’t feel like 25 years when you look back. It’s been a great organisation (to volunteer with) and it has just gone form strength to strength,” she said.
Since 1991, Wilma has been volunteering her time on reception at the DNC and said although she’ll really miss the staff, the time had come. Wilma said she enjoyed being on reception as she loves meeting and talking to people. To keep busy, Wilma will be continuing volunteer work with the Pink Ladies and Dubbo Evening VIEW Club, knitting and scrap-booking.
DNC operations manager Vanessa Creed said everyone was sad to see Wilma go.
“I think we’re all just going to miss Wilma being here,” she said.
“She just fits in, she’s a part of the place.”
