POLICE have continued their war on drugs in the region.

The latest bust came on Thursday, when a man was charged over the alleged cultivation of cannabis in Wellington.

Following inquiries by officers attached to the Command, about 1pm on Thursday afternoon police attended a home on Parkes Street.

Police will allege that during a search of the premises, 15 cannabis plants, more than 300 grams of cannabis, and cannabis seeds, and ammunition were located.

A 66-year-old man was arrested and charged with cultivate a prohibited plant, supply a prohibited drug, and two counts of possess prohibited drug.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Wellington Local Court on October 18.
