The rhino was donated by Ignite Our Centre to promote the Pride March on October 8.
“It’s bright, it’s colourful and...it means a lot to us and to see this representation in the main street,” committee chair Nicholas Steepe said.
The rhino is designed to empower people to get involved through people-focused activities and encourage business participation and activation within the CBD.
“It just means so much to the Pride committee and headspace Dubbo and all of the organisations involved that we can be a part of the central landscape of Dubbo with the rhino, particularly in the main street of Dubbo which is great,” Mr Steepe said.
“It really shows the growth within Dubbo but also the growth of the Central West Pride March and it will continue to get bigger and better every year so it’s great that Ignite can jump on board.”
The Central West Pride March will kick off at 10.30am on Saturday, October 8 at Hans Claven Oval and wrap up with a Community Fun Day behind the Visitor Information Centre.
