A spokesperson for Member for Dubbo Troy Grant has said the comments reported by the Daily Telegraph were never made by the Deputy Premier.

The Daily Telegraph reported Mr Grant had told colleagues he would consider standing down as Nationals Leader and Deputy Premier if the seat of Orange was lost in the November 12 by-election.
The Nationals currently hold the state seat with a 21.6 per cent swing.
