Local racing fans will be hoping it’s a case of third time lucky, with Dubbo Turf Club’s Gold Cup meeting postponed another day to Tuesday.

The meeting was originally meant to be raced on Sunday but heavy and steady rain saw the meeting abandoned.

It was postponed until Monday but that morning a track inspection, combined with the forecast of further showers, saw the meeting again cancelled.

But Racing NSW has given Dubbo Turf Club a third chance to host its showcase meeting, with the fields remaining the same once again on Tuesday, weather permitting.

There have been some changes to race times with the $60,000 Gold Cup, to jump at 4.25pm.

There have been some caualties becuase of the conditions and changes with neither Brett Thompson’s Slate On Edge and Bjorn Baker’s Rosaleisha expected to line up in the 1600m feature event.

First race is at 12.45pm.
