Trevor Spencer appeared in Dubbo Local Court on Monday morning, on a charge of apprehension on warrant issued in another state.
He fronted magistrate Gary Wilson with bandages covering his hands.
The matter arose after a warrant was issued for Mr Spencer’s arrest by a Queensland court on August 26.
Detectives from the Orana Local Area Command arrested Mr Spencer at 12.20am on August 27, and later that day he appeared briefly before Dubbo Local Court and was refused bail.
Queensland Police will allege that Mr Spencer murdered 43-year-old Gary John Ryan in Mundubbera last Tuesday.
Mr Ryan’s body was found with multiple stab wounds about 11.30am that day at a workshop in the town, which is located about 140 kilometres west of Maryborough.
He was extradited to Brisbane Watch House and is scheduled to appear before Brisbane Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
