The Tigers were beaten 44-24 by Dubbo CYMS on Sunday and the side’s Group 11 season now goes on the line next Sunday with a preliminary final match against the Forbes Magpies set to play out at Parkes’ Pioneer Oval.
Nyngan was missing four players on Sunday, all of those regular first-graders in the form of Western Rams hooker Reece Goldsmith, outside backs Jone Yacadrau and Mitch Rixon as well as Warren himself, who is carrying a groin injury.
“We had two 17-year-old kids (Clayton Couley and Cameron Bourke) who played a full game of juniors and then backed up and played with us so I was really pleased with them and how they’re all about the club and they really cherished the black and gold jersey,” he said. “We hope to see CYMS again, we’re confident and that’s the main thing for us.”
