The Fishies and Rabbitohs meet in the reserve grade major semi-final, with the winner advancing straight through to the grand final.
CYMS enjoyed a week off after finishing as minor premiers while the Rabbitohs showed real grit last week to edge past Macquarie 20-16.
It marks two derbies in two weeks for the men in red and green, who were last week led around well by wily veteran Peter Boon from five-eighth.
The two sides have met twice already this season with CYMS coming out on top on both occasions.
The first match produced a 34-16 scoreline in favour of the Fishies and while the second match was a much tighter affair, CYMS still ran out 22-12 winners.
Young guns Nick Karydis and Jayden Merritt will be key to the Fishies’ hopes while Westside will look to the likes of Boon and Jarrin Fernando, who has had a stack of first grade experience in the past two seasons.
Whoever loses Sunday’s match will have to face the winner of Saturday’s elimination semi-final.
Macquarie, after losing last week, have it all to play for in their clash with the Nyngan Tigers.
The Tigers have already survived one elimination match, defeating Parkes 28-12 last weekend, and are expected to be cheered on by a vocal Nyngan fanbase at Caltex Park.
Macquarie will again be led by the likes of Craig McLean and Adam McDermott.
