A Labor Party spokesman confirmed MR Foley would attend the conference along with other MPs, especially from regional electorates.
A party statement said the event would be an opportunity to “discuss policy ideas that Labor will take to the 2019 state election”. It said Labor would be “bringing its positive agenda for the regions directly to the bush.”
It is more than two years until the 2019 NSW elections will be held but already Labor has showed it plans to target regional seats, with the party’s general secretary Kaila Murnain talking about its commitment to regional NSW.
"Labor's conference will be biggest political gathering in regional NSW,” Ms Murnain said.
“We’re proud to hold our conference in the country unlike the Nationals who have previously held theirs in Kirribilli.
"We will put forward a positive policy agenda take to the election, one that supports investment in regional communities."
The conference will be held at the Dubbo RSL and Memorial Club on December 3 and 4.
The statement said the event would “be a boost for local tourism with delegates expected to stay in the area for a few days”.
Mr Foley said regional voters should be disappointed with the Nationals over a number of major decisions that had hurt regional voters.
"The Nationals have sold out the bush by voting with the Liberals to privatise our electricity transmission network, forcibly amalgamate our councils and now to shut down the greyhound industry,” Mr Foley said.
"National Party MPs are only listening to Mike Baird and North Shore Liberals and not their communities.
"Labor has already put regional communities front and centre of our policies and we will continue to do that right up until the 2019 state election."
The Labor conference will take place on the weekend of December 3 and 4 at the Dubbo RSL.
