Donating to worthy causes in the city is the condition on which Dubbo’s second largest private employer, the Real Pet Food Company in Purvis Lane, pays the Rotarians $1000 to light up a barbecue once a month.
Club president Steve Cowley and factory manager Sean Madden came together on Friday to inspect the $2500 sound system donated to the school.
Principal Debbie Pritchard said the equipment that included an infrared microphone worn by a teacher was now installed in 16 of the school’s 21 classes.
“It’s a hearing system that supports children with hearing needs but actually supports all children,” she said.
Mr Madden called the fundraising arrangement a “win-win” for the the company.
“We’re improving engagement on site and doing something good for the community,” he said.
