Officers from the Orana Local Area Command will host "Coffee With A Cop" on Thursday, July 21 at The Coffee Club in Orana Mall.
From 10am community members will be able to meet local police in a relaxed atmosphere, ask questions, discuss issues, and build positive relationships.
On Tuesday, Acting Superintendent Scott Tanner and Inspector Dan Skelly caught up with Greg Wynne from The Coffee Club, with Act Supt Tanner testing out his favourite hot chocolate with peppermint. Insp Skelly stuck solid to the premise by sitting back and enjoying a cup of hot coffee.
"Its a great opportunity for police from Orana to positively engage with all members of the community in a neutral setting, buy them a cuppa, and have a chat,” Insp Skelly said.
“We are interested in what they have to say, and we look forward to the community participating in this engagement."
