Group 11 will kick off their campaign against rivals Group 10 at Gilgandra's McGrane Oval, following a game between Castlereagh Cup and Woodbridge Cup. The winners of the two games then play in a decider, while the two losers will play a consolation match.
Season 2015 was the inaugural year of league tag for Group 11, while their opponents first formed their competition three years earlier.
Despite that gap in experience, Group 10 were restricted to a 30-4 win last year and Fuller believes his team can close that gap even further.
"Compared to last year we are more experienced and we have a lot more girls to pick from. The competition has come a long way and whereas we were relying on a core group of girls, now that group is much bigger," Fuller said.
"We have players from right across the group, even from Cobar. Cobar might not field teams in Group 11 anymore but the girls will be allowed to complete their representative duties."
With all four teams aiming to get players selected for the Rams, Fuller said he would be satisfied if four or five Group 11 players could earn selection.
"With the level of competition among the teams, four or five would be a good result. I think players like Tarlee Roberts, Kimberlee Gordon, Sally Dwyer and Clair Barber would have a good chance. They are key players in our side," the coach said.
"A win would go a long way to helping our chances."
The team had one training run together at Parkes after the squad was named and Fuller said he was impressed with what he saw.
"They took on a team of players that had trialled and they looked very good. It will be up to the girls in the middle of the park to get it out wide to the players with speed. Our speed is a real strength and something we will be looking to capitalise on," he said.
The Group 11 league tag team will hold a final training session at Caltex Park on Friday night, before heading to Gilgandra on Saturday. Their first 30-minute match against Group 10 kicks off at 11.05am.
The consolation game will start at 11.40am and the final will follow at 12.15pm.
