The 34-year-old, who shot to fame as Darryl 'Brax' Braxton on the long-standing drama series, will once again be up for one of the major awards on Australian television's night of nights.
He faces stiff competition though, with industry veterans Craig McLachlan (The Doctor Blake Mysteries) and Erik Thomson (800 Words) joining Josh Thomas (Please Like Me) and Firass Dirani (House Husbands) on the short list for the award.
Peacocke won the Best New Talent award at the 2012 Logies for his portrayal of one of Summer Bay's notorious 'River Boys' and a year later walked away with the Most Popular Actor gong.
That same year he was also nominated for the Gold Logie, the most prestigious award in the TV industry.
In 2014, Peacocke was nominated for the same pair of awards but missed out on both while last year the Gold again eluded him but he regained his mantle as the most popular actor in the country.
Recently, Peacocke has stepped away from the 'Brax' character and played the role of Detective Josh Levine in the six-part series Wanted, which also aired on Channel Seven and co-starred industry legend Rebecca Gibney.
Peacocke is one of 22 nominations for the Seven Network, which fell behind the ABC (31) and Channel Nine (25) this year.
Despite lagging at the tail when it came to nominations, Channel Ten has half of the finalists for this year's Gold Logie.
The Project co-hosts Waleed Aly and reigning champion Carrie Bickmore, as well as Family Feud's Grant Denyer, will be up against Essie Davis (Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries), Scott Cam (The Block) and Lee Lin Chin (SBS World News/The Feed) for the top award.
"It's going to be very awkward at The Project for the next month," joked fellow co-host Peter Helliar, who announced the nominations at a star-studded event at Crown Melbourne
