THE trip from Fairfield to Dubbo on Thursday was a long one for trainer Dobrivoje Stojanov but it was also worthwhile as Show Me Dollars recorded the first win of her career.

Stojanov made the near five hour trip to Dawson Park last week and after seeing Show Me Dollars run fourth then he knew if he returned she could perform better.
And that she did, taking out the Dubbo Vet Hospital Maiden (400m) by three lengths.
“I’m absolutely rapt,” Stojanov said.
“Travelling from Sydney it makes that trip home a little quicker.
“She could always run, just had to get out and keep out of trouble. That was the main thing.
“I came last week for her first run and thought she would only improve off it so pretty rapt.”
Leighton Winter’s green but highly-rated Total Ringer gained much of the pre-race attention and started as a $2.20 favourite.
Show Me Dollars jumped well from box one and got to the lead and while Magic Sunrise ($31.30) briefly got her nose in front it was soon Stojanov’s bitch who was leading again.
Total Ringer soon got in contention and threatened to overtake the leader but Show Me Dollars held him.
There was six lengths back to third with Magic Sunrise edging Lightfoot Lily ($5.80) in a photo.
Stojanov confessed afterwards he wasn’t always confident of recording the win.
“Especially when the four (Total Ringer) was right behind her, he’s a strong dog,” he said.
“Not really (confident of winning), any other dog I would have, just not the four.”
The win was Show Me Dollars’ first after a second at Lithgow and the fourth at Dubbo.
One favourite who didn’t disappoint on Thursday was Billy Keeping.
The Charmaine Roberts trained dog had impressed when running first and third in his first two starts at Temora recently and back on his home track he blitzed the field in the Shakey Jakey at Stud Stakes (516m).
Billy Keeping ($1.90) won by five-and-a-quarter lengths from Stojanov’s Smash Em Dollars ($6.20) while Pat Jacks Joyce ($34.50) was third.
