The event is for dogs who haven't won more than two races in their career before the heats and Wellington trainer Ron Steel will fancy his chances of victory after having two from his qualify for the event.
Steel Cargo and My Boy Cargo will jump alongside each other from boxes three and four in the $1045 event.
Both have struggled to the hit the heights others from Steel's kennel have, with Steel Cargo having three wins from 13 starts up to this point while My Boy Cargo has two wins from 14 races.
Despite that, the duo are shaping as the dogs to beat in the final.
Geurie trainer Jeannette Foley will also be confident with her bitch Betty Sue Taro, who produced one of her best runs in the heats at Dawson Park almost two weeks ago.
That win was her third from 14 starts and showed no signs of the kind of inconsistency which Foley has become all too familiar with.
Betty Sue Taro will jump from box five.
Shannon Kirby will also have two chances in the event, with Jewel Power getting the inside draw of box one while Eveready Gril will start from box six.
Eveready Girl will be hoping for a better race than last time out, when the Everywhere Man x Miss Maggies bitch fell at Bathurst.
Jewel Power is the most experienced dog in the field with the final being the 25th start of her career.
At the other end of the spectrum is Zipping Piper.
Zipping Piper, trained by Martin Hallinan, has raced only four times before but has recorded wins at both Bathurst and Dubbo.
She appears to be another real threat in the race and will jump from box eight, outside the Patrick Lorimer-trained Gorgeous Sunrise.
Colin Williams' Wyembah Charlie rounds out the field and will jump from box four.
Monday night's nine-race meeting begins at 7.09pm at Dawson Park with the Dubbo RSL Club Final run at 8.54pm.
