The Saturday morning activity that is attracting more and more people has hearts as a focus for a bit of fun this weekend.
Organisers have encouraged participants to step out in red or even take some wardrobe inspiration from Cupid.
First-time and regular runners and walkers alike are welcome to bring someone they love - but it doesn't have to be a valentine.
Dubbo parkrun event director Miriam Tan said the day was not just for couples, but for families as well.
Parkrun is a free, timed, 5km run or walk held at the same time and place at more than one hundred locations across Australia.
It has gained more than 1600 registered participants since it kicked off at Dubbo in July, the volunteer organising committee has reported.
On January 30, a total of 363 people set out on the route along the banks of the Macquarie River, setting a new record for participation in the activity at Dubbo.
The team at Marathon Health will cover all of the volunteer roles on Saturday.
Ms Tan said cardiovascular disease including heart attacks and strokes were a major cause of death in Australia.
"This is a good chance to make sure you are doing as much as you can for your heart health, check your cholesterol, exercise most days, make sure your diet is mostly whole foods, see your GP or see an allied health professional, just to name a few ideas," she said.
"Don't forget about your mental health too, heart health is also about your social and emotional health.
"That's the great thing about parkrun, not only does it get people moving, it's a wonderful community event that makes people feel like they are a part of something."
