Win and their finals hopes are still alive. Lose and it is all over.
The Tigers currently sit fourth on the ladder but wins against the Cougars and the Castlereagh Hornets, the competition's bottom two sides, in the final two rounds will see them leapfrog the Western Plains Automotive Warriors and possibly Christies Crackerjacks into the top three.
"We're always reasonably confident in Twenty20, it suits us pretty well," all-rounder Steve Skinner said.
"But we've been disappointed to lose a couple of matches.
"We lost a tight one to Colts when we shouldn't have let them get that many then we copped a real hiding against Rugby when we lost a couple of early wickets and then crumpled but we bowled well in that game so it was disappointing."
Seemingly the match is the Tigers' to lose as the Cougars incredibly have not won a Twenty20 game in more than four years.
The Tigers won the competition last season but Skinner was adamant Friday night's opposition could not be taken lightly.
"I don't know why they haven't one more than they have," he said.
"They've got some good players so I don't know but they have missed out in some games they probably could have won.
"But every game they play is closer to that win so it's going to be someone."
The Tigers will stick to their regular game plan on Friday night with the side's experienced core set to lead the way.
In the matches they have lost those players have missed out so Skinner is determined to lead form the front.
"Me or Mat (Skinner), or Dan Holland this season, he's hitting them well, try to bat through and if one of us can do that then we seem to come up with a good score," he said.
"And we've been bowling well for a while."
The Cougars will again go into the match with a focus on youth with teenagers Thomas Nelson, Ben Knaggs, James 'Busta' Nelson, Dan Duffy and Joshua Thompson all named.
Combined with the experience provided by skipper Ryan Medley, Western Zone player Stuart Naden and Ben O'Donnell, the men in green will be keen to salvage some pride and end their ongoing losing streak.
The action at No. 1 Oval begins at 6.30pm.
