The following awards will be presented by Mayor of Dubbo, Councillor Mathew Dickerson:

- Young Sportsperson of the Year
- Services to Sports Award
- Cultural Person of the Year
❏ Address from the Australia Day Ambassador Dubbo’s 2016 Australia Day Ambassador is dual Olympic Games Australian decathlon representative Peter Hadfield.
Family-friendly activities:
- Taronga Western Plains Zoo animal mobile
- Jumping castle and face painting
- Pooka the Clown
- Children’s activity table, including colouring, free flags and activity bags, stickers and temporary tattoos
- Circus West will be roving throughout the crowd performing tricks
- Fire and Rescue NSW display, including the “kitchen simulator” (dependant on weather) and trucks
- Dubbo Rescue Squad display, including the “jaws of life”
- Royal Flying Doctor Service flight simulator
- Police display
- State Emergency Services display
- Dance, gymnastic displays and entertainment by Dubbo Ballet Studio, Stepping Out Dance Factory, RSL Youth Gymnasts and PCYC Cheerleaders
- Sing Australia
- Gold coin entry to the pool. From 10am until 11am entry into the Dubbo Aquatic Leisure Centre is just a gold coin donation with all proceeds going to the Royal Flying Doctor Service. #AsDubboWeCelebrate
