The pair will be sporting '#NoDubbington' T-shirts whenever appropriate over the coming weeks to show their stance against the council amalgamations.
Cr Dickerson said he hoped the shirts would encourage people to attend the public meeting.
"You've got to register by the 29th January. They're making it difficult for people to get to it but let's make sure people make the effort and go," he said.
Members of the public will have the opportunity to express their opinions on the merger directly to the Office of Local Government at Club Dubbo on Thursday, February 4 from 3pm to 5pm and 7pm to 10pm.
An additional inquiry will be held in Wellington on the same day at the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club from 9am to 12pm.
The lack of advertising about the public inquiry was "a bit disappointing" Cr Dickerson said.
"The delegate has actually asked us to help create some publicity around it, which you would think if the state government was doing their job properly, and they really wanted public consultation they would be creating some interest," he said.
"Even the fact that the first ad was in the Sydney Morning Herald which I don't see a lot of people in Dubbo or Wellington reading is disappointing."
Cr Dickerson said the community would have one chance to make the delegate hear their concerns.
"That one day is it. If you miss that day you miss your chance to go along and make a live submission," he said.
