The 35-year-old scored a TKO win over the Polish fighter two minutes into their bout at Etihad Stadium, stunning him with a snap kick to the liver before finishing him with a flurry of hammer fists that forced referee Steve Perceval to call the fight off.

Yesterday, as he soaked up the win, he admitted the kick that was the beginning of the end felt just as sweet as it looked and sounded on television.

"As soon as it connected and he made that squealing noise I knew I had him in trouble, and from then I just went in to try and finish it," Noke said.

"Being a southpaw we had the idea that his liver area was going to be open and vulnerable, and Coach Winklejohn had been at me to use the front snap kick so I let it go and it paid off.

"It's nice when a plan comes together like that. It doesn't always happen as you expect but we had a plan and I was able to stick to it and got the result."

Prior to the bout Noke said he would be keen to take a short-notice fight shortly after UFC 193.

His partner Denver is expecting their first child in April, and he is hopeful of being matched against an opponent some time in January before taking part in the Brisbane event that was announced for March by UFC president Dana White in the aftermath of Sunday's card.

"I haven't been told told anything about Brisbane as yet but I want to be on that card for sure," Noke said.

"I love fighting in Australia. The crowd on Sunday was amazing and it was an awesome atmosphere to be a part of.

"It wouldn't matter whether the fight was in Dubbo or a major city like Melbourne, the atmosphere is always something special when you fight in Australia.

"I missed out the last time the UFC went to Brisbane so hopefully I can get a fight in January and one in Brisbane in March before the baby is born in April."

Noke's baby fund was boosted by a $50,000 bonus for his stoppage of Sobotta on Sunday, which enhanced the day for him and his team.

His training partner in Albuquerque, Holly Holm, stunned the world when she beat the previously undefeated womens bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey with a second-round knockout.

"You know, most people gave Holly no chance of beating Ronda but our whole team was confident she could get the job done," Noke said.

"When my brother Nelson came into camp with me last week he watched Holly hitting the mits and he said to me 'Holly will win this fight'.

"To see her go out and dominate like she did against the best female athlete on the planet was unreal, and it capped off a great event for our team. It was a good night for Australian MMA as well with Mark Hunt winning and Jake Matthews doing a great job as well."
