Spurs snatched the title courtesy of a dramatic 1-0 win over the Bulls, who had dominated the competition all season but fell at the final hurdle.
For Spurs the win was a reward for not only the players but also for the hard-working officials of the club who had helped bring them from the bottom rung of Dubbo soccer right back to the top.
Coach Albi Mastellotto sent the following to the Daily Liberal as a thank you to all the people that helped the club achieve its ultimate goal.
"The success of Orana Spurs' first grade squad that won the 2015 Dubbo and District Football Association competition this year is a culmination of many factors," he said.
"The players showed what hard work and commitment on the training paddock can do, and none of this would have been possible without the rest of the senior players in our club who played in the second grade competition coached by Stephen Tongue,
"A lot of credit has to go to them and Steve for their constant support. Stephen's other duties included running the club and attend meetings.
"Another unsung hero is the firsts and seconds team manager and strapper Rex Miller, who is there every week filling water bottles, doing team sheets, strapping, rub downs and cooking the barbecue after all our games.
"But the biggest thanks must go to our supporters who cheered their hearts out all season.
"Also to my assistant for the past two years Mark Munro, who I constantly bounce ideas off and nothing ever seems to be a problem, a huge thank you.
"To the captains of the side Kurt Munro and Jared Corby, who led the side around the park with respect all year and lastly to Bob Hughes. Without him this club would not continue to run."
