For the first time in many seasons the club has managed to get all three senior grades in the Group 11 finals, and with their women's league tag side also making the post-season in the competition's inaugural season the mood is positive in postcode 2820.
Playing a consistent brand of football, Toomey-White's first grade side finished third at the end of the home-and-away season, earning them a trip to Parkes on Sunday for the qualifying final.
The winner earns a trip to Dubbo to meet minor premiers Dubbo CYMS the following week, meaning a grand final spot is potentially just two games away for the Cowboys.
"We aren't thinking that far ahead," Toomey-White said.
"It would be nice to play CYMS for a grand final spot but to do that we have to play a solid 80 minutes against Parkes.
"In the second half of the season we've really worked hard to try and be an 80-minute team. We're getting there but to win finals you have to go out and do that, and our first chance is at Parkes on Sunday.
"The good thing for us is that we have all four of our teams playing finals, and when you look at where we've come from at the start of the year when we couldn't field a team at the Parkes Nines it shows how hard our committee and town has worked to get the club going."
Spectators that make their way to Jock Colley Field will be in for a treat, as Sunday's clash pits the wily Parkes captain-coach Dennis Moran against another former NRL player in Joe Williams.
While they would provide the polish that made the key moments happen, Toomey-White said the outcome of the match would be determined in the middle.
"We haven't beaten Parkes yet this season so we know we have to pick up in a few areas," he said.
"They have a big forward pack, and if they get on a roll then Dennis can pick out weaknesses in any team.
"So our forwards need to match them, and hopefully get the better of them, because that allows Joey to go to work and do what he does best.
"Joe has been great for our town and our club, and to be honest we're lucky that guys like him and Dennis are playing in Group 11.
"Since he's come to Wellington, Joe has added an extra element to our club. Off the field he's a role model and on the field he guides the boys around, takes some of the pressure off me and when he speaks the boys listen."
Sunday's qualifying final will be the main game on an action-packed program at Jock Colley Oval, which starts at 12pm with the league tag match between Parkes and Nyngan, and will be followed by the reserve grade elimination final between Macquarie and Wellington.
The under-18s qualifying final between Parkes and CYMS will be the curtain raiser to the first grade fixture.
