The former centre suffered a neck injury after 32 minutes while assisting in a tackle on one of the Jets forwards.
Play was delayed for 40 minutes for an ambulance to transport Robinson as a precautionary measure to Dubbo Hospital from which he was discharged on Saturday evening.
Accompanied by captain-coach Dennis Moran, Robinson will seek further medical advice today and is hopeful of receiving the all clear.
He made a welcome appearance at the very successful ladies night after the match in a real morale booster for the club.
Trainers of both sides deserve full credit for their sensitive and caring attention to the young player as he lay on the Cale Oval surface for such a lengthy period.
In a tough, uncompromising affair, the Spacemen were forced to dig deep to subdue their fired up opponents.
Down 14-10 when the Robinson injury ended the first half prematurely, Parkes won the second stanza 30-6.
The result represented a 68 point turnaround from the first round encounter won 92-4 by Parkes on Jock Colley Field.
The Spacemen required 55 minutes to gain the ascendancy, but finished the contest full of running to win well and claim the David Gillespie Shield.
Jordan Pope and Tim Walker were named best players for their respective clubs, with Sam Dwyer, Michael Mitchell, Brandon Tago and Epi Sadrodro again close to the points.
Interestingly, the six players filling positions one to six all made the scorecard as the Spacemen, supported by a healthy band of supporters, scored seven tries to four.
The first grade success completed a clean sweep for the Spacemen on foreign soil, another commendable achievement.
League Tag won 26-20, the Juniors 52-12, and the reserves 32-10, testament to the Spacemen’s strength and depth.
The firsts welcomed the return of Masoe and Ionatana and the inclusion of jesse Parker for his top grade debut.
With Alex Prout resting a knee injury sustained at training, Jake Porter switched to scrum half, but injured centre Kevin Frank and Zarin Barber were again absent.
Displaying one off charity uniforms, the Jets opened the scoring after six minutes through centre Richardson as handling errors marred the early Parkes effort.
After 11 minutes, a long Moran pass enabled Robinson and Bligh to send Paige over in the corner for the reply.
Another dropped ball resulted in a second try to Richardson for 10-4 after 15 minutes as the Spacemen struggled for cohesion and structure.
Against the run of play on their own quarter, Dwyer, Paige and Tago did well to send the flying debutante Parker 70 metres for a classic winger’s try to level the scores at 10-all.
Errors by Moran and Dwyer from the restart enabled Burns to stroll over for an easy try on the half hour as the Jets confidence rose with the scoreline.
Referee Ray O’Brien wisely called an early interval after 32 minutes as an ambulance was called for treatment to the injured Robinson.
When hostilities finally resumed after a 40 minute delay, both sides had their chances and Dwyer was denied when he fell on a Moran grubber.
Parkes continued a high error rate, inviting the Jets to stay in a contest that became more physical as the minutes ticked by.
With Masoe making great metres, his partner in arms, Ionatana, eventually dived over for Parkes to lead for the first time at 16-4 after 55 minutes.
With Jets co-coach Mick Clarke binned, the Spacemen lifted and a superb Tago ball sent centre Mitchell 50 metres for a second try in 60 seconds.
Moran goaled for 22-14 with Mitchell, Sadrodro and Tago leading a defensive blitz against willing opposition.
Long breaks to Paige and Pope sent Bligh 40 metres for Parkes’ fifth and the issue was beyond doubt at 28-14.
An intercept try by Jets winger Woolfe reduced the margin to 28-20 after 69 minutes, but again Mitchell starred, making the break for a deserved try to the ever present Dwyer.
Moran goaled from wide for 34-20 and then backed up for a superb try started by Sadrodro and involving Dwyer and a neat kick from Paige.
At 40-20, Parkes were home, but an 80 metre Moran restart featured the closing stages of a hard fought, spirited affair played in good spirit.
