Each Sunday the program consists of two individual events and a brace relay, and the odds of one swimmer winning all three events is a very rare occurrence.
In the club's 55-year history there has only been four swimmers previously who have achieved this feat.
Peter Smith emerged as the fifth swimmer last Sunday when he took out all three events, and not to be outdone, his partner in the brace relay, Xanthe Clark, managed another rarity when she came second to Peter in both the individual events.
The full results of the 25 metre freestyle in what was a very close finish was Peter Smith (0.66), Xanthe Clark (0.77), Vlad Petrov (0.89), Bill Greenwood (1.40) and Judy Walsh (1.50).
Ian Henderson and Matt Dover touched ahead of Brian Schloeffel and Glen Smith in the backstroke/breaststroke brace relay but both had been a little bit too competitive and had broken their times.
This indiscretion was enough to hand the win over to Peter Smith and Xanthe Clark, with Ron Soden and Judy Walsh in next with Mark Scullard and Reg Ferguson making up the final.
There were some pretty slow times in the 50 metre breaststroke, except for Glen Smith who went a huge -6.67 off his time.
Peter Smith was closest being 0.92 seconds off his time, second was Xanthe Clark (2.21), third place was Ian Henderson (2.71) fourth Greg Jankowski (3.63) and Mark Scullard (3.66). Ian Henderson and Bill Greenwood had the lucky numbers.
This Sunday there will be a monthly meeting after the swim followed by a social lunch in the bistro of the Dubbo RSL Memorial Club.
The social lunches are a great way to catch up with all the swimmers and their partners. Looking forward to seeing as many as possible attending.
Ron Everett is eager to have numbers for the inter club visit to Austinmer which is planned for the first weekend of August.
The Dubbo Ducks swim each Sunday at the Dubbo RSL pool at 9am and are always keen to welcome new members.
