The man took off on foot out the back door when police arrived at the Warrena Street residence on June 21, a spokesperson for Castlereagh Local Area Command said.
He was arrested a short distance away.
It will also be alleged the man threatened police.
The 24-year-old was granted conditional bail to front Walgett Local Court on July 14 charged with malicious damage, two counts of assault, armed with intent to commit an indictable offence, intimidation and intimidation of a police officer.
